Lynn Sinfield
Lynn was born in Eastern Canada but calls the West home. The life long love affair with art has been rewarding in many ways. The need to portray the landscape as seen through artist’s eyes is what keeps Lynn painting in pen and ink, watercolour, oil, acrylic or collage. It may be the lighting, a big dramatic sky, or the patterns created within the shadows. The Prairies have much to offer an artist. Studying art from an early age began in school; then followed private lessons after school. In the late 70’s and 80’s Lynn studied with professional artist teachers and at the University of Alberta extension courses. In turn Lynn began teaching drawing and watercolour courses through local art groups, in junior high schools and for the City of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. In the early 90’s and into the 2000’s living abroad afforded Lynn the opportunity to see art galleries and museums around the world which taught Lynn to be open and receptive to all art forms. Lynn has sold work through local clubs, organizations, solo shows and juried shows in Canada, Texas, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Japan. Lynn is represented by Spotlight Gallery in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada.
